- April 2013: Corcoran first contacts the Town about its plans to purchase Weiss Farm and develop up rental dwelling units
- July 22, 2013: Corcoran writes the Board of Selectmen regarding the proposed development, not including details, such as the number of dwelling units, number and size of buildings or layout of the site.
- On October 2, 2013, John M. Corcoran and Company ("Corcoran") filed an application for a "Project Eligibility Letter" with MassHousing.
- The proposed development for which a Project Eligibility Letter is sought by Corcoran has 264 rental apartments homes, including 66 affordable units:
- 18 three-bedroom units
- 27 studios
- 105 one-bedroom units
- 114 two-bedroom units
- On October 2, 2013, John M. Corcoran and Company ("Corcoran") filed an application for a "Project Eligibility Letter" with MassHousing.
- MassHousing also and formerly known as the Massachusetts Housing Finance Agency (MHFA) As explained in MassHousing's Website:
- "MassHousing was created by an act of the Massachusetts Legislature in 1966 as an independent public authority charged with increasing affordable rental and for-sale housing in Massachusetts. Since making our first loan in 1970, the Agency has provided more than $13 billion in financing for the construction and preservation of affordable rental housing, and for affordable loan products for homebuyers and homeowners."
- "The MassHousing Mission: MassHousing, the state's affordable housing bank, supports the creation, preservation and long-term viability of affordable homeownership and rental housing opportunities for Massachusetts residents with modest incomes. MassHousing is a self-sustaining agency and does not use taxpayer dollars in its programs."
- Board of Selectmen Public Meeting for a presentation by Corcoran regarding its Application/Proposal to MassHousing - Tuesday, November 12, 2013 beginning at 7 p.m.
- Deadline for comments by Board of Selectmen to MassHousing extended to Friday, December 20, 2013.
