All Permit applications and required paperwork must be submitted in hard copies, we do not offer on line permitting, see below on how to submit.

COVID-19 Permitting/Inspection Procedures
As a result of the COVID-19 pandemic Stoneham Town Hall is open to the public during limited business hours, Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday 9-4 and Tuesday 9-7. All inspections are being performed at this time but is subject to change.
To schedule an inspection leave a message on our main telephone line 781-279-2670. When leaving the message please indicate whether it is a building, electrical, or plumbing inspection and if it is a rough, final, or other type. Your message will be forwarded to the appropriate inspector and you will receive a return call to schedule the inspection.
If you have any other questions or you need to speak to someone please leave a message and you will receive a return phone call.
During inspections we ask that all occupants/trades people step out of the inspection area during the inspection to keep the exposure of our inspectors to a minimum. Our inspectors reserve the right to not perform or reschedule the inspection if they do not feel comfortable.
To submit permit applications;
- submit paperwork in the after hours drop box at the rear entrance to town hall
- leave paperwork at our COVID desk at the rear entrance to town hall
- or mail to 35 Central Street, Stoneham, MA 02180.
